Description
SARTHI is a medium-early maturing groundnut variety, ready for harvest in 100–105 days, with an upright growth habit and plant height of 30–40 cm. It produces medium-sized pods and seeds, with a 100-seed weight of 50–55 grams, and performs well under sowing patterns of 3 × 12 or 3 × 18 inches. With a recommended seed rate of 65–70 kg per acre, it ensures efficient crop establishment.
This variety stands out for its high yield potential due to short internodal distance and multiple pods per node, along with excellent water use efficiency and a high harvest index. Its thin shell provides a higher shelling percentage of 72–75%, and Java-quality seeds suitable for export, fetching better market prices. With an oil content of 49–50%, SARTHI delivers both quality and productivity, offering average yields of 2400–3200 kg/hectare and potential up to 4500–5200 kg/hectare.
