GJP – 1

GJP – 1 is a high-performing pulse variety developed by the Pulse Research Center, Junagadh during 2014–15, designed to deliver stable production and excellent adaptability. With a maturity period of around 176 days, this variety develops vigorous plants reaching an average height of 5–6 feet, making it suitable for strong crop establishment and field performance.

It is especially well-suited for intercropping systems, allowing farmers to maximize land utilization and improve overall farm productivity. GJP – 1 produces large-sized seeds with an average yield potential of around 17 man per bigha and offers moderate drought tolerance, making it a dependable choice under varying growing conditions.
