GG – 23 (SORATH KIRAN) is a modern semi-spreading groundnut variety developed by the Oilseeds Research Station, Junagadh during 2019–20, offering an excellent combination of crop health, yield stability, and oil quality. With a maturity period of 118–129 days, this variety is suitable for farmers seeking dependable performance and strong field adaptability.
It produces medium-sized seeds with a 100-seed weight of 47.86 grams and delivers a high oil content of 49.72%, making it valuable for both market and oil-processing purposes. GG – 23 (SORATH KIRAN) is also recognized for its reduced incidence of leaf spot and collar rot diseases compared to many other varieties, helping maintain healthier crops and better productivity.
